Our favorite spots!

Kalemegdan
01

Kalemegdan

Historical park and fortress where the Sava and Danube rivers meet. There are lots of beautiful walking paths through the fortress that lead to different viewpoints and hidden spots that are perfect for photos. You'll see amazing views of the rivers, old fortress walls, famous Pobednik statue, Sv. Petka and Ružica churches, and even the courts where basketball first became popular in Serbia.

Knez Mihailova Street
02

Knez Mihailova Street

The main pedestrian street in downtown Belgrade connecting Trg Republike (where the "horse statue" common for every European city is) to Kalemegdan. It's always full of people, cafes, shops, street musicians, and little side passages to explore. One of the best places in the city to grab a snack or coffee, sit outside, people watch and relax. Day or night, there's always something going on here.

Sava Promenade
03

Sava Promenade

Belgrade's newest waterfront area with a long walking path along the Sava river. It's a great place to take a relaxing walk, especially around sunset, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and views of the river and city along the way. The area is always lively with people walking, biking, and sitting along the water.

Gardoš Tower
04

Gardoš Tower

A 130-year-old tower overlooking Zemun with some of the best views of the Danube river and the city. The architecture in this part of Belgrade feels very different from downtown, with older Austro-Hungarian style buildings, narrower streets, and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Red Star Stadium
05

Red Star Stadium

The "Marakana" is Vaso's favorite place and home to Red Star Belgrade, the winners of the 1991 Champions League. If there isn't a game happening, you can take a stadium tour that includes the museum, behind-the-scenes media areas, and access to the field and famous player tunnel that is covered in layers of fan graffiti, messages, and club history.

Skadarlija
06

Skadarlija

The historic bohemian quarter of Belgrade with cobblestone streets, traditional restaurants, and a lively atmosphere that really comes alive at night. It's one of the best places to try Serbian food with live music playing throughout the street. Tri Šešira and Dva Jelena are traditional restaurants that are highly recommended!

Ada Ciganlija (Lake)
07

Ada Ciganlija (Lake)

Belgrade's "beach." Perfect when the weather is hot if you want to swim, relax by the water, go for a walk, rent bikes and explore the paths around the lake. It has a laid-back summer vibe with cafes, sports areas, and plenty of space to just hang out for the day.

Night Clubs
08

Night Clubs

Belgrade is famous for its nightlife, especially the floating river clubs known as splavovi along the Sava and Danube. You'll find everything from laid-back bars to full-on party spots that start after midnight and go until the sun rises.

Avala Tower
09

Avala Tower

A short drive outside the city, it's a nice escape from Belgrade for some fresh air and nature. You can hike or drive up to the top of the mountain and from there go up the tower to get a 360° view. Nearby is the Monument to the Unknown Hero, a WWII memorial sitting quietly in the woods, which is worth walking over to while you're there.

Shop, Eat & Unwind

Visiting one of Belgrade's shopping malls (Galerija, Ušće, Ada Mall, or Rajičeva) is a great way to escape the heat, have a coffee break, browse a wide selection of international and local brands, and enjoy a meal from a variety of restaurants and cuisines.
